John Alexander Boyle, age 66, of Metamora, formerly of Bloomfield, died Sunday, November 29, 2015. He was born January 26, 1949 in Highland Park, to John and Catherine (Peebles) Boyle. John received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Michigan. He was a CPA in private practice for many years. Mr. Boyle owned and operated Great Lakes Business Credit and Skillman Group in Troy. John married Katherine Ann Horton on August 2, 2014. He enjoyed sailing, spending time at his home in Metamora, reading and collecting vintage cars. Mr. Boyle especially liked his 1953 MG and riding around with the top down in his 1984 Mercedes SL.
John is survived by his wife: Katherine Horton Boyle; children: Geoffrey (Nicole) Boyle of Wichita, Kansas, Catherine Boyle of Chelsea, Michigan and Kenneth Boyle of Royal Oak; grandchildren: Ana, Claire, Gabriela, Micah and Brigit; sister: Grace (Bob) Larson of Orchard Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Catherine Boyle.
A Celebration of John's Life will take place 1:00-4:00PM Saturday, December 5, 2015 at John and Kathy's home, 4473 Gardner Rd, Metamora, MI 48455. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice, in memory of John. Cremation has been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer.
