Wanda A. Baranowski

Wanda Ann Baranowski passed away on November 29, 2015 in Needville, Texas at 94 years of age.
The daughter of Walter and Eva Zientek, she was born in Washington County, Texas on October 25, 1921, but lived almost all of her life in Rosenberg.

In 1947, she married Edward Baranowski, Sr., and they moved to Rosenberg. They were married for 43 years until his death in 1990. She was a dedicated member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church for 63 years.

Wanda was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother. With a perpetual focus on her family, her devotion to them and caring for them was ever-present as she supported and nurtured them. Her favorite activities were made better because her family was included in them. She took her greatest joys in fishing with her husband, caring for her children, supporting her grandchildren and baking her famous apple pies. She led a long, happy and family-oriented life.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sister Clara and brothers Bill, Johnny, Antone, Frank & Edwin.

Wanda is survived by her three sons and their wives: Edward & Janet Baranowski of Needville, Tommie & Joyce Baranowski of East Bernard and Jimmie & Terry Baranowski of Burnet. She is also survived by her sister Stella Michalak of Chappell Hill.

Additionally, she is survived by her eight grandchildren and their spouses: Matt & Laura Baranowski, Taryn Baranowski-Warren & Bobby Warren, Katie & Heath Novosad, Brian & Michelle Baranowski, Kevin Baranowski, Mari K & Cody Stump, Kelsey & Paul Montgomery and Kristen Baranowski. She also has seven great-grandchildren: Maddie Baranowski, Levi Baranowski, Makayla Baranowski, Arya Novosad, Ethan Stump, Rowan Montgomery and Rylie Montgomery.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the SPJST Senior Living Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Needville for the attention and kindness they showed in caring for Wanda in the last years and days of her life.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (1416 George Street) in Rosenberg. The service will be officiated by Father William D. Bartniski. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
