Barbara C. Osoba, 77 of St. Clair Shores, died Wednesday October 7, 2015. She was born February 8, 1938 in Detroit to parents Emmett and Elizabeth (Israel) Lane. Barbara married George M. Osoba on November 21, 1963 in Detroit.
Mrs. Osoba was a lifelong member of the St. Angela Parish, Roseville. She was good catholic; considered a sweet, kind lady to all, never a cross word and always soft spoken. Barbara and Mr. Osoba bought a cottage on Whigville Lake, Dryden in 1972; she loved every summer spent there. They also traveled all over the States, after his retirement. She considered Chris and Arlene to be sisters she spent a lot of time with, even a little in the casino. Above all else, she loved spending time with her great-grandbaby and loved her whole, witty family.
Barbara is survived by her daughters: Debra (Joe) Osoba-Grimmer and Mary Beth (Jeff) Bliss, siblings: Jerry (Barbara) Lane, Pat (Shawn) Murphy and Jack Lane. She was preceded in death by her husband: George M. Osoba in 2007, siblings: Mary Bernadette Oaks, Walter Lane and her parents.
Visitation for Mrs. Osoba will be at Muir Brothers on Thursday 4-8pm, Friday 1-8pm with a 7pm Rosary prayer. Her funeral mass will be 11:00am Saturday October 10, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Church, Lapeer, officiated by Father Douglas Terrien. Viewing Saturday morning from 10:30-10:55am at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Monastery of the Blessed Sacrament Cloistered Dominican Nuns, 29575 Middlebelt Rd., Farmington Hills 48334. www.MuirBrothersLapeer.com
