Jean Rabin, age 79, of Trumbull, formerly of Westport, unexpectedly passed away in her home on Friday evening October 2, 2015. Jean was the owner of Record and Tape of Westport in Compo Shopping Center for many years and was known and loved by many around town. She leaves behind her loving husband Monte Rabin, and her beloved children, daughter Lynne Huffines and her partner Siane Sanford of Fairfield, CT, daughter Dianne Teitelbaum and her husband Paul Teitelbaum of Norcross, GA, stepson Mitchell Tabin and his wife Sharmilla of NYC and stepdaughter Ronni Katz and her husband Matthew of Israel, formerly of New Haven, CT. She also leaves behind a sister Dawn Witherow and her husband John of Tennessee and was predeceased by sister Marie Baker and brother James Mize. Jean had seven grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Kimberly Caplin, Heather Trujillo, Erica Malcom, Neil Teitelbalum, Alexamdra Rosen, Hannah and Sophia Katz, four precious great-grandchildren Lily and Emma Caplin, Tyler Trujillo, and Carter Malcom, six nieces and nephews and many very dear friends. Cremation is under the care of the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 S Benson Rd., Fairfield, CT. Calling hours are between 6:00 and 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Spear-Miller. A memorial service is to be held at Greens Farms Congregational Church in Westport on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 1:00 PM.
