Joyce Mae Franek, 73 of Richmond, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. She was born in Shiner, Texas to Evelyn (Hajek) and Willie Stock.
Joyce, was a housewife and mother by trade, spent many hours cultivating her yard in Sugar Land, where she and her husband Edwin spent forty plus years. For health reason their later years were spent with their daughter, Sharon and her husband Steve in Richmond. It is here where she passed away unexpectedly tending to her flower garden.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Nancy Franek, grandchildren, Kayla and T.J., of Navasota and Sharon Gonzales and her husband Steve, of Richmond; mother Evelyn Stock, of Sugar Land; sister, Kay Lynn Hand and her husband Walter, of Alief; brother Randy Stock and his wife Kelly of Sugar Land; she is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin J. Franek and her father Willie Stock.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at St. John's Fisher Catholic Church in Richmond with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held Monday, October 5, 2015 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
Pallbearers will include Andre Bishop, David Franek, Curtis Hand, Jason Hand, Randy Stock and Tim White.
