John Richard Young age 80 years of West Union, Ohio died Friday, September 18, 2015 at the University Hospital in Cincinnati. Mr. Young was born on October 8, 1934 the son of the late Albert Oscar and Oma Louisa (Bayless) Young in Adams County, Ohio.
Mr. Young was a member of the International Brotherhood of Paper Workers, and the NRA.
Survivors include two sons Dr. Kelly Richard Young and spouse Timothy Butz of Cincinnati, Ohio; Dana Ward and wife Edna (Hoskins) Ward of West Union, Ohio; one daughter Chanda Ruth Young and husband Charlie McGraw of West Union, Ohio; one brother Tom Young of Seaman, Ohio; four sisters JoAnn Cooper of Blue Creek, Ohio; Kay Swayne of Peebles, Ohio; Ellen Tolle and Candi Young both of Seaman, Ohio; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Kirker Cemetery with military graveside services by the Adams County Honor Guard. Visitation will be two hours before the service at the funeral home.
