Angelo Borrelli, "Sonny", 97, died August 31, 2015 at his home in North Arlington.
Born in Newark he lived in North Arlington for the past 85 years.
He was the Proprietor of Borrelli's Sweet Shop in North Arlington along with his late brother John for 40 years before retiring in 2007. He also was a machinist who retired 30 years ago after working at ITT in Clifton for 21 years and the Reliable Machine Shop in Newark for 11 years.
He served as a Technical Sergeant and Instructor in the Army Infantry during World War II serving in Florida, Louisiana, and Japan .
He is the beloved son of the late John and Anna Marie (nee Calabrese), the cherished brother of Rose M. Borrelli of North Arlington, Ann Notte of Lyndhurst, Eleanor Salmeri of North Arlington and the late Marie McGee, Julie Biancardi, and John Borrelli Jr., and the adored uncle of many nieces and nephews.
The funeral Service will be held at the Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington on Thursday, September 3 at 10:30 A.m. The interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday 4 to 8 P.M.
