Funeral services for Mary Jo Furrh, 83, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Wills Point with Rev. Don Myers and Rev. Don Tisdale officiating. Interment will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point under the direction of Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.

She passed away early Friday morning, August 28, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mary Jo was born October 8, 1931, in Wills Point, the daughter of William Gee Miller and Josie Lorene Cone Miller. She was a lifelong resident of Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1949. On June 10, 1949, she married Blake C. Furrh in Edgewood. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, gardening, yard work and loved watching the Texas Longhorns. Family was very important to Mary Jo, she treasured every moment spent with her daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Know Your Bible Club and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Wills Point, where she was a Sunday School teacher for over thirty years.

Preceded in death by her parents, Gee and Josie Miller; husband, Blake C. Furrh on April 16, 2009 and a brother, Raymond C. "Bud" Miller.

Survived by four daughters, Jeanne Cotten & husband, Ron, of Garland, Mary Davis & husband, Don, of Wills Point, Ann Mitchell & husband, Larry, of Wills Point and Holly Stokes & husband, David, of Wills Point; brother, Billy Miller, of Wills Point; sister, Shirley Tedder & husband, Bobby, of Lady Lake, Florida; five grandchildren, Jeffrey Blake Cotten, Kelley Jo Fletcher & husband, John, Brian David Stokes & wife, Stefanie, Scott Christopher Mitchell and Colin Grant Mitchell & wife, Caitlin and four great-grandchildren, Holden Fletcher, Hunter Stokes, Jett Fletcher and Case Stokes.

Pallbearers: Jeffrey Blake Cotten, Brian David Stokes, Scott Christopher Mitchell, Colin Grant Mitchell, John Mark Fletcher and Phillip Carl Doane.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
