Cemetha Lattier Washington, (Tia) was born on August 15, 1968, in Shreveport, Louisiana to Francis Fratus, Jr. and Annie Scott of Shreveport, Louisiana.

Tia was baptized into the Body of Christ at an early age at Mount Olive Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor John Blackwell of Shreveport, Louisiana.

In 1986 Tia moved to Dallas, Texas and later moved to Austin where she resided until God called her home.

She was a kind, gentle person and was loved by everyone. Although a very quiet person in nature, she knew know strangers. Twenty years ago Tia met and married the love of her life Reginald Washington. The two were introduced by Reginald's Aunt Nell and as fate would have it, a match was made in heaven. To this union was born a handsome baby boy, Armani Chancelan Washington. She was a very devoted wife and mother and outside God, her family always came first. She was a homebody and enjoyed taking lunch to Armani at school every day from kindergarten through fifth grade. Landscaping and traveling were just a few things she enjoyed doing with her family.

She was a very caring, unselfish person that was loved by many, as she was a very genuine person. You know she had Christ indwelling in her heart by the loved she showed to others. She had a very old soul and accepted individuals for who they were. She treated individuals with kindness and respect. Her kind loving spirit showed that she had to be a child of the king.

She was able to display a beautiful characteristic about herself that most people do not possess: putting others before herself - even when she was sick. She instilled many values in Reginald and Armani that they will continue to honor and respect as a gentle reminder of her.

Tia was preceded in death by her grandparents Francis & Anna Fratus, Sr. and Walter and Emma Scott.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Reginald Washington; son, Armani Chancelan Washington; stepson, Brandon Washington; mother, Annie Pearl Stadom of Shreveport, LA; father, Francis Fratus, Jr.; 3 brothers, Obediah Stadom, (Cheryl); Jarmarsay Scott of Shreveport, LA; Eteleridge Scott, (Kemi) of Longview, TX; 3 devoted friends Carolyn Skinner, Estella Loston, and Curteneous (Fish) Lawrence; "Shout out to Punkin" many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host other relatives and friends.

Flowers may be delivered to Austin Peel and Son Funeral Home on Friday, august 7, 2015
