Doris Kinlaw, 88, of Atlantic City, laid down to rest on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, in the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.
Doris or "Momma" as she was affectionately called by her family, was born to the late Swannee and Robert Manning on August 22, 1926, in Jacksonville, Florida where she was raised. She later moved to Atlantic City where she met and married the love of her life Frank P. Kinlaw, and from that union 13 children were born.
Doris Kinlaw was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years. She loved to travel and walk the boardwalk. She enjoyed crabs and vanilla bean ice cream. Momma, as she was called everyone she knew — both young and old — was a happy and loving person. She was a friend to all. She was easy to please and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Doris is predeceased by: her parents, Swannee and Robert Manning; her loving husband, Frank Kinlaw; seven of her children, Ann, Shirley, Barbara, Tim, Frank Jr., Alfonso, and Lawrence.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories six children: Ronald Manning, Nathaniel Kinlaw (Pamela), Glendola Gibson (Wayne), Genovese Nixon (Kelvin), Dorothea Adams (John), and Lucinda Scott (Lell); forty grandchildren; seventy great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
