Mabel B. (Beachy) Troyer 88 of 4349 TR 422 Sugarcreek died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Walnut Hills Nursing Home. She was born February 12, 1927 in Clark Twp., Holmes County to the late Menno J. and Mattie (Schlabach) Beachy. Mabel loved the Lord. She was a dedicated hard-working farmer's wife, she worked and cooked at the Sugarcreek Sale Barn for 20 years and was a member of the Amish Church. She married Ben A. Troyer on December 23, 1947 and lived in Holy Matrimony for 67 years, 4 months and 2 days. Born to this union were 5 sons and 3 daughters; Arlene (Eli D.) Mast of New Philadelphia, John (Mary Ellen) Troyer of Sugarcreek, Willis (Anna) Troyer of Wooster, Myrna (Jonas M.) Miller of Dundee, Ben Jr. (Mary K.) Troyer of Sugarcreek, Myron (Nettie) Troyer of Winesburg, Elaine (Richard J.) Troyer and Dustin (Amanda) Troyer both of Sugarcreek, 32 grandchildren and 61 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister Malinda, 3 brothers Roman, Ervin and Eli, twin granddaughters Mabel Kay and Alma Mae, 2 stillborn grandchildren Kathondra Lachelle and Justin Shawn, 1 a grandson Josiah Eric and great grandson Trinen Kade. Services will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 9:00 AM at Maranatha Fellowship Church in Sugarcreek with Bishop Menno Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery in Sugarcreek Twp., Tuscarawas County. Friends may call Monday 1-4 and 6-8 PM at the Maranatha Fellowship Church. The family wants to thank everyone for all the prayers, words of encouragement and food. A special thanks to Mary and Judy Beachy for taking care of her and helping to feed her when we as a family weren't there. Everyone is welcome to stay for the noon meal following services and please remember us in prayer. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Varns Funeral Home at Sugarcreek.
