David Ray Abbott age 53 of Peebles, OH passed away Thursday April 23, 2015 at the University of Cincinnati Hospital. He was born January 6, 1962 in Adams County, OH the son of Patricia Abbott and the late Ray Abbott. He was an operating engineer and a member of the Local 18 Operating Engineer Union.
Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by 1 sister; Angelea Abbott Shiveley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Penny Abbott of Peebles, 1 son; Cody Abbot and fiancé Jessica of Peebles, 1 daughter; Ashley Abbott Alonso and husband Pablo of Jacktown, mother; Pat Abbott of Peebles, 2 sisters; Sheila Rothwell and Carma Sue Abbott both of Peebles, 4 grandchildren; Jayden, Kyndal, Jesse and Slade, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday April 26, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the
Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union with Richard Lloyd and Richard Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 - 3:00 PM prior to the service.
