Carolyn A. Oyer
Age 84, of Canton died Friday, March 6, 2015 in her home following an extended illness. Born October 8, 1930 in Canton, Ohio to the late Merrell and Ada (Decker) Tressel. She was a life resident of Canton and a 1948 graduate of Canton McKinley High School. Carolyn was an active member of Mt Zion Community Church where she was involved with the choir and many other activities. She was also a member of the Mothers of Twins Club. Preceded in death by her husband, Russell T. Oyer in 2003; step father, Lee Kinney; a sister, Virginia Zinslen; a brother, Kenneth Tressel. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Jack Profant of Massillon; a son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Kelly Oyer of Canton; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. A private family service will be conducted in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. There will be no public services. Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Zion Community Church.
