LUNT, Jane S, Age 87, formerly of Erie, PA, died Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Mt. Pleasant Retirement Village. Jane was born in Pittsburgh, PA on Febraury 14, 1927 as the only daughter of parents Robert Sawhill and Stella (Pendeville) Sawhill. Jane grew up in Midway, PA and graduated with a teaching degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Jane married Frederick Ernest Lunt and they worked and raised three children across several cities including Butler PA, Rochester NY, Erie PA and Beavercreek OH. Jane taught early elementary school and in later years worked for JCPenney. Jane loved gardening, baking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was passionate about serving in her local church, most recently Monroe Presbyterian where she was an Elder and served families with love and food whenever there was a need. Jane is survived by two daughters, Cynthia (John) Carter of Cincinnati, Carolyn Lunt of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; one son, Mark (Anne) Lunt of Liberty Township; nine grandchildren, Will, Rachel, Emily, Daniel, Wesley, Karissa, Phillip, Stephen, Kaylene; one sister-in-law, Shirley Lunt Roth of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and one son-in-law, Gary Hartoin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Lunt in 1993 and her parents. Funeral services will be 11:30 am Saturday at the Monroe Presbyterian Church, 57 West Elm Street, Monroe. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8:30 pm Friday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Byron Cemetery, Fairborn, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Monroe Presbyterian Church. A guestbook is available at www.breitenbachfuneralhome.com.
