Dorothy E. Booth
Dorothy Elizabeth Cassidy Booth, 78, died January 24, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Booth was a member of Virginia Beach UMC. She was an avid sailor, an active member at Wareing's Gym and enjoyed going to the casinos.
Left to cherish her memory, is her loving husband of 30 years, Coach James E.(Ed) Booth; daughter, Kimberly E. Cassidy of Virginia Beach; stepsons, William Booth and wife Karen of Fredericksburg, VA; Blackburn Booth and wife Linda of Virginia Beach; daughter-in-law, Debra Booth of Fiskdale, MA; brother-in-law, Bobby Booth; nephew, Ed Booth and wife Jessica of Norfolk; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and her beloved cat Smokie. She was predeceased by a stepson, Jack Booth and a step-grandson, Joshua L. Booth.
The family would like to especially thank Linda Davis, Kelly Paul, Compassionate Care, Elder Care, and the many amazing neighbors in Shadowlawn for their love, compassion and caring.
A life celebration service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Maestas Chapel with a reception following at 3:00 pm at Croc's 19th Street Bistro. Please wear something blue on Saturday in honor of Mrs. Booth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, Compassionate Care Hospice, Greater Atlantic Rescue Dogs, or your local SPCA.
