Louise Flowers Johnson, 87, affectionately known by family and friends as "Lulu", widow of The Reverend F. Leon Johnson, entered into her eternal resting place on Wednesday, January 21, 2015.
Born in Darlington County, she was the daughter of the late George Edward and Ruth Moody Flowers.
Louise was retired from Liberty Life Insurance Company and Furman University. She was a member of Berea First Baptist Church and the Bykota Sunday School Class.
Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Coats and husband, Dewey, of West Columbia and Elaine Styles and husband, Kevin, of Greenville; five grandchildren, Angie Byrd and husband, Robb, Dustin Coats and wife, Zane, Shelley, Sherilyn and Stefan Styles; five great grandchildren, Abbey Grace and Tradd Byrd, Gavin, Jack and Sara Margaret Coats; two sisters, Frances McLeod and husband, Hughey and Bonnie Mae Baker. She was preceded in death by daughter, Dorothy Ann Johnson Copeland; a brother, Edward Flowers and two sisters, Dorothy Rogers and Dale Skinner.
The family would like to thank her very special caregivers, Cami Fowler, Shannon Carlisle, Jessica Wallen and others who were so faithful to make her life comfortable.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
