Johann "John" H. Daschner, age 82, of Prudenville passed away at his home on Sunday January 18, 2015.
John was born on January 18, 1933 in Munich, Germany to Johann & Centa (Gestettenbauer) Daschner. John married Gertrud E. Uffelmann on June 16, 1956 in Detroit. He served in the US Army from 1956-1964. He retired from General Motors where he worked as a Tool and Die Maker. The couple moved to Prudenville in 1995. He was a member of the AMVETS, and enjoyed working, John also enjoyed helping others.
Johann is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Gertrud Daschner of Prudenville, daughter; Diane (Michael) Foreman of Prudenville, sister; Maria (Theo) Wimmer of Germany, brother; Frank (Gabriela) Daschner of Germany, nieces; Matheas, Angela and Ingrid and three great nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son; Johann F. Daschner.
