Edna Keeler Cooke, 93, widow of Roy Benjamin Cooke, Sr., died Tuesday, January 13, 2015.
Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Norman Oscar and Sallie Edna Barton Keeler.
Mrs. Cooke was a homemaker and a member of Monaghan Baptist Church.
Surviving are children, Barbara Purgason (Bubba), Linda James (Larry), Roy B. Cooke, Jr. (Susan); grandchildren, Crystal Newman, Kevin B. Purgason (Cecila), CPT. Rainer B. Cooke; great grandchildren, Brandon and Megan Newman; great great grandchildren, Kyler and Kylin Newman; and a sister, Alma Mahaffey. She was predeceased by a son, Cecil Lee Cooke; three brothers; and two sisters.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of McCall Hospice House.
Visitation will be Friday, January 16, 2015 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. with the funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery West.
