Lillian Rose (Milesnick) Reed passed away in her sleep in the early hours of January 8, 2015.She was born February 20, 1919, to John and Rose Milesnick in a log home on the Missouri River, near the geographical center of Montana.
She attended a one-room school for the first eight grades and moved to Lewistown, MT for high school. She graduated from Montana State College in 1940 with a degree in Education and taught for one year in Belgrade, MT.
While at college she met George Reed and they were married in 1941. The couple made their home in Seattle, Washington, where George worked for the Boeing Company.Their son Edwin was born in 1942. She was devoted to her husband and son and was always involved in such things as her church, PTA, and being den mother for a group of Cub Scouts. She always had a beautiful yard, as one would expect from a member of Garden Club for over 30 years.
After living in Seattle for 61 years, she and George moved to Kennewick to be close to their son and daughter-in-law.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Mabel, and brother Stanley.
She is survived by her son Edwin and his wife, Shirley, and by her sisters, Dorothy, Marie, and Delores, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday January 16, at 2:00 PM at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls, 314 W. First Ave., Kennewick, WA.
