William Norton Skardon, 68, husband of Sidney Bowen Skardon, died Sunday, January 11, 2015.
Born in Newberry, he was the son of the late Ambrose Hooper and Margaret Nesley Skardon.
Mr. Skardon served in the U.S. Army. He was a 1969 graduate of Clemson University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pre-Architecture. He retired as a surveyor for Arbor Engineering, Inc. and was an active member of Lee Road United Methodist Church. He was an active member of Foothills Chapter of SCSPLS and was an Eagle Scout.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are brother, A. Hooper Skardon and wife, Susan, of Simpsonville; nephews, Trey Skardon of Simpsonville, John Skardon and Todd Christopher Allen and wife, Elle; and niece, Emily Christine Allen, all of Charlotte, NC; and several great nieces and a great nephew.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Lee Road United Methodist Church with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be Monday, January 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
