LOU JONES
December 18, 2014

Funeral services for Lou Jones, 72 year old Kaycee woman who passed away Thursday morning at the Johnson County Health Care Center will be held Monday December 22 at 10:00 a.m. from the Harold Jarrard Park Building in Kaycee with Reverend Danny Davis Officiating. Visitation will be held from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday from 1:00 until 9:00. Interment will be in the Kaycee Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. Donations in Lou's memory may be made to the Susie Bowling Lawrence Hospice in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Aluia Beth Jones was born on August 23, 1942 in Worland, Wyoming, to James and Josephine Spratt. She moved as a small child to Lost Cabin, Wyoming and attended school in Badwater. She started high school in Riverton, she went one year in Shoshone and graduated from Natrona County High School in Casper with the class of 1960. After high school she attended Casper College for one year. She was married on December 20, 1966 in Casper to Wilbur Jones and they made their home at Sussex for 7 years before moving to Mayoworth, west of Kaycee. She continued living in Mayoworth until the time of her death.
She was a member of the Tops Club in Kaycee; she was a former member of the Powder River Grange; she was a member of the Grace Mission Baptist Church for several years. Lou was an avid fisherman, she enjoyed horseback riding, playing cards and loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Wilbur Jones of Kaycee; two sons William "Bill" Jones and his wife Michele of Kaycee and Patrick Jones also of Kaycee; one step-son, Butch Jones and his wife Ronda of Buffalo; one daughter Russchelle Jones of Kaycee; one step-daughter, Joyce Wiley and her husband Bruce of Riverton; one brother Charles Spratt of Denver, Colorado; one sister Merle Koch and her husband Dale of Ranchester, Wyoming; ten grandchildren and ten and a half great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and numerous special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Virginia Austin.
