George "June" Thomas, Jr., 67, widower of Margaret Lynn "Polly" Parris Thomas, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 16, 2014.
Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Davis and Gladys Tollison Thomas Rackley and George Thomas, Sr.
Mr. Thomas was a retired truck driver with Colonial Motor Express.
Surviving are daughters, Sue Thomas Pierce (Kenneth), Tina Thomas (Donnie Ray Bragg); son, Ritchie Thomas (Amanda), fifteen grandchildren, Widad and Shafek Hayek, Canaan and Katey Whiteneck, Amber Bowen, Zachary and Emily Taylor, Amber Blackwell, Breanna and Dakota Thomas, D.J. Farmer, Kayla, Trey and Kristina Lambert, and Nathaniel Bragg; great grandchild, Caeden Turner; two sisters, Debbie Rackley and Sherry Hazen; and sister-in-law, Linda Tollison. He was predeceased by a brother, James Tollison.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The funeral will be held Friday, December 19, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland East Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Hospice, 429 N. Main Street, #3, Greenville, SC 29601.
