WINSTED –
BARSHAW – Mildred Barshaw, passed away on November 28, 2014 after a brief illness. She was the daughter of William and Edith Fancher. A loving wife to the late Peter J. Barshaw, her survivors include son, James (Margaret) Barshaw and daughters, Judith (Raymond) Savoy and Katherine (Edward) Weaving; siblings, Pauline, Donald, Robert Fancher and Shirley Lemere, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marjorie and sons, Donald, Robert and Edward Barshaw. She attended local schools, was an Avon Representative, a member of First Church of Winsted, Winchester Grange #74, the DAR-Greenwoods Chapter and the Winsted Senior Center. A resident of Chestnut Grove for over eleven years, she enjoyed sharing in the lives of her many friends and the activities there and at the Senior Center. A memorial service will be held at First Church of Winsted, 95 N. Main Street, on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 2 PM. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: VNA, Special Olympics or First Church of Winsted. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, Winsted are in charge of arrangements.
