Johnny Clayton Hagler, Sr., 90, of Kaufman passed away on November 26, 2014 in Kaufman. No services are planned.
Johnny was born October 7, 1924, in Kaufman, Texas, the son of John Eugene Hagler and Mary Ethel Wilkerson Hagler. He was a lifelong resident of Kaufman where he attended public school. On June 27, 1948, he married to Shirley Belle Ayres. Most of his life, he was in road construction and later was employed by Terrell State Hospital, retiring in 1990. Johnny was of the Methodist faith.
Preceded in death by his parents, John and Ethel Hagler; wife, Shirley Belle Hagler; three brothers; two sisters and two grandsons, John Christopher Cotton and James Tracy Hagler.
Johnny is survived by three sons, Corky Hagler & wife, Judy, of Fairfield, Tommy Hagler & wife, Sharla, of Terrell and Gene Hagler & wife, Debra, of Kaufman; daughter, Diane Cotton & husband, Luke, of Wills Point; nine grandchildren, Micheal Cotton, Stephannie Cotton, Robert Cotton, Rachel Hagler, Dale Hagler, Amy Flowers, Kacy Hagler, Lanna McCabe and Clay Hagler and eight great-grandchildren.
