Elinor M. "Ducky" McCormick, 85, of Holmdel passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Born in Arcola, NJ Mrs. McCormick has lived in Holmdel for the past 68 years. She was a former caterer and homemaker and avid reader. She belonged to the Holmdel Half Century Club and the Holmdel Fire Company Ladies Auxillary.
Mrs. McCormick was a loving and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband William McCormick in 2009, a daughter Michele Damen, and son-in-law George Meissner. Surviving are her children Carol Meissner, Margaret Harrison and her husband Charles, and Sharon Lasater, a sister Florence Dyer, 8 grandchildren Bonnie Meissner, Jeffery (Traci) Harrison, Scott (Bonnie) Damen, Lance (Janine) Meissner, Brian (Janice) Harrison, Megan (Cole) Porter, Amy (Edward) Lucas, and Kylie McGinty, and 10 great grandchildren Kaitlin, Jacob, Jillian, Holly, Jordan, Faye, Lily, Amanda, Sarah, and Charlie.
Visitation will be held Monday from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A funeral service will be offered in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00AM. Interment will be in the Holmdel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to the St. Jude Childrens Hospital P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
