Sylvia Alice Crawford, 89, of Moundsville, W. Va., passed away Friday, November 21, 2014, in Peterson Rehab Hospital, Wheeling.
She was born May 7, 1925, daughter of the late Lot and Rosa (Elder) Wright. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Wheeling.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ora Crawford, brothers; Denzil, Chester and Junior Wright, sisters; Mary Tennant, Madge Bostaph and Grace Haught.
Sylvia is survived by her daughter, Carol Sue Butler of Wheeling; granddaughter, Shelley Marie Butler (Bill Koutsoukos) of Cary, N.C., brothers; Kenneth Gail Wright of Huntington, W. Va., and Henry Clyde Wright of Bergholz, Ohio.
Friends will be received from 12-3 & 5-8pm, Sunday, and from 10am until time of service at 11am Monday, November, 24, 2014, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, with Rev. Judy (Fisher) Liston officiating. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, New Martinsville.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff on wing 2, and the physical and occupational therapies at Peterson Hospital for their loving care.
