John "Jack" Brennan, 92, of Lapeer, (formerly of South Lyon) died Friday, October 31, 2014.

Jack was born June 28, 1922 in Toronto, Canada to parents Thomas and Ada (Martin) Brennan. He married Patricia Wilson on October 25, 1947 in Detroit. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII where he trained pilots. Jack went on to work for Booth Newspapers/Ann Arbor News for over 30 years. He retired in 1985 having attained the position of corporate staff accountant of the Booth Newspaper Corporation. Jack absolutely loved his wife, children and grandchildren.

Jack is survived by his wife, Patricia Brennan of Lapeer; children: George (Carol) Brennan of Columbiaville and Ruth (Mike) Perry of Sterling Heights; grandchildren: De (Bruce) Miller, George Brennan, Cathy Perry and Mike (Jewelle) Perry; great grandchildren: Brooke (Matias) Kraynak, Tyler Ferrett, Isabella Perry, Drew Brennan, Hayden Brennan, Allison Perry, Kasside Perry, Gianna Perry; great great grandchild, Lucas Kraynak. Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Ada; brothers, Jerry & Tom; and his parents. Memorial contributions may be made to Hometown Hospice or Lapeer Church of the Nazarene.

A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Lapeer Church of the Nazarene, Pastor Andrew Jolly officiating. Jack's family will receive friends beginning at 10:00AM the morning of the service. Cremation has been entrusted to Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer.
