Cecil Carol (Buck) Carpenter of Aberdeen died Friday, October 31. He was 80.
Born in Lansing, NC he was the son of the late Lida & Minnie (Hamm) Carpenter and husband of the late Dorothy Carpenter.
Mr. Carpenter retired as a welder for General Motors in Delaware. He enjoyed mowing grass and working outside and watching the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens play. He had attended Antioch Baptist Church.
He is survived by his brothers, Lake Carpenter of West Jefferson, NC & Allen Carpenter of Lansing, NC; sisters, Shirley Calhoun of West Jefferson, NC, Mabel Ham of Aberdeen and Jeanette Ham of Bel Air, and several Nieces and Nephews. In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Cyril and Deral Carpenter and sister, Betty Roark.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 3 from 5-8 pm at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home where funeral services conducted by Pastor Donnie Smith will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 4. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.tarringcargo.com.
