Marilyn A. (McCullin) Bailey Chamberlain, age 81, formerly of Easton Avenue, Warwick, died on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre in Cranston. She was the wife of the late Courtland C. Chamberlain, and the former wife of the late George E. Bailey, Jr.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Walter and Edith (Croker) McCullin, she lived in Cranston before moving to Warwick 25 years ago.

Mrs. Chamberlain was employed in the office of Davenport Associates in Providence for 10 years before retiring. She served as a volunteer at Cornerstone Adult Services in Warwick, and was a member of St. Rita Church Women's Club in Warwick.

She was the loving mother of Marilyn A. Garvey of Warwick, Robert E. Bailey of Narragansett, David M. Bailey of Wakefield, and Carolyn M. Comeau of Johnston; and the sister of the late Margaret Hitt. She is also survived by five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a special cousin and friend, Sr. Lois Noon, SND of Worcester, MA.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, October 24, at 9 a.m. from the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Rita Church, 722 Oakland Beach Avenue, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 8-9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
