"Katie" M. Young, 30 of Shedd, Oregon unexpectedly went home to meet our Lord and Savior on Oct. 9th, 2014. She was born in Anchorage, Alaska and moved to the Albany area with her family in 1989. She was full of love, life and selflessness. She is preceded in death by grandfathers Donald W. Ellis and Irving C. Byram; grandmother Joyce M. Young and aunt Dawn Chambers.
She leaves behind her 2 boys, whom she loved more than anything; Ayden (10) and Ashton (8), whose grief cannot be measured during this time of loss.
Temporarily separated from her are parents, Kelvin and Suzanne Young, of Shedd, Oregon, who will always remember their little girl "Dee" and miss her immensely for the rest of their remaining days on this earth.
Also left behind is her heartbroken baby brother Ryan W. Young, his expectant wife Robin, and her 2 favorite nephews; Tanner (5) and Tarren (10 mos), along with her heart sister Alesha Shahparast.
Still living grandparents are Phyllis M. and Kenneth Young Sr. of Arizona and Beverly A Ellis-Gilliland of Alaska. She also leaves numerous aunts and uncles, and countless cousins, all of whom loved her dearly and will miss her greatly. There will be a celebration of life for her at a later date.
"Go on home now our sweet girl, we will all be together again someday soon."
