Lodmell, Hazel J., 78, of Moundsville, WV, died October 16, 2014 in Liza's Place.
She was born on May 24, 1936 in Greenbrier County, WV, a daughter of the late Jessie W. and Ruth (Canfield) Hicks.
Hazel worked as a Registered Nurse for 52 years and retired from Heartland-Lansing Nursing Home. She was a member of the Moundsville Baptist Church and a tribal
Member of the Appalachian American Indians of WV.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Russell C. Lodmell.
She is survived by five children, William Stone of Meadow Bridge, WV; Linda (John) Skrypek of Moundsville; Teresa Gill (Tim Heaton) of Wheeling, WV; Sandra (Tony) Eddy of Glen Dale, WV; Carla (Terry) Whitlatch of Moundsville; many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Friends received 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, where funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2014.
Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens.
