Bertina Dolores Johnson Boston passed away peacefully Friday, September 26, 2014 in California while visiting her children.

"Bert, "Teenie" or Ms. Johnson as she was called by family and close friends was born June 5, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA. She attended elementary school in Philadelphia and later moved to New Jersey where she attended Atlantic City High School. While living in New Jersey, she met and married Howard Johnson. Together, they bore seven children. Later she met and married Marvin "Kent" Boston and had two more children.

In the 1970's, Bertina worked as a Flight Simulator for the National Aviation Facilities Experimental Center. Changing careers, Bertina graduated from Atlantic County Vocational School as a License Practical Nurse. In 1975, Bertina started her nursing career at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point and Linwood Convalescent Home. In 1996, Bertina retired from Shore Memorial Hospital and moved to Indian Lake Estates, FL with her husband "Kent".
Bertina lived in Florida for 18 years where she enjoyed the warm weather. She loved listening to music, visiting friends and talking on the telephone with family.

Bertina is predeceased by: husband, Marvin; mother, Fannie "Dolores"; father, Thomas; and brother, Alphonso. Bertina is survived by: children, Darlene, Daryl (Pearl), Lamont, Cheryl Ann, Mark, Patricia, Stephen, Leah (Craig) and Stacy; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law; two aunts; an uncle; and a host of other family and friends
