Henry Forrest Woods, 93, of Bridgeport, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014, in Country Club Retirement Campus, Bellaire, Ohio.
Henry was born March 4, 1921 in Bridgeport, a son of the late Clarence and Ethel (Sutton) Woods. He was a lifelong farmer, and retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville, Plant. He was also a lifetime member of the Bridgeport Eagles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Woods; a son, Tom Woods; a sister, Lois Higgs; a brother, Robert Woods; and a great-granddaughter, Kaitlin Kolb.
Henry is survived by his daughter, Donna Kolb and her husband Daniel of Moundsville; two step-sons, Charles Baker and his wife, Carol of North Carolina and Robert Duffey of Indiana; a sister, Elsie Woods of Adena, Ohio; two grandchildren, Mike Kolb of Moundsville and Melissa Clegg and her husband, Bill of Moundsville; two step-grandchildren, Chris Arnold and her husband, Andy of North Carolina and James Baker of California; and two great-granddaughters, Erika and Haley.
Friends will be received from 6-8 pm, Thursday, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, where funeral services will be held at 11 am, Friday, October 3, 2014. Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
