Alfred O. (Frankie) Bordley son of the late Hilda Evans and Norman G. Bordley was born on January 19, 1937 departed this life on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 6:29 a.m.in Season Hospice surrounded by family.
Frankie was preceded by death his wife of 48 years Emma L. Roane-Bordley, son Norman G. Bordley, Great-Grandson Brian Mason-Simmons.
Frankie was employed with General Motors for over 47 years.
Frankie leaves to cherish his 3 children, James (JB) & Alfred Jr., Reverend. Melissa M. Bordley, three daughter's in-law Renaee Bordley, Patricia (Renee) Hinton and Yvonne Bordley-Gibson eight grandchildren, Jaquetta, Kiana, Willie, Norman, Devon, Norman, Jr., Shaynelle and Dominique and 10 great-grandchildren, He is also survived by four sisters, Peggy Lumpkin, Matlean Harding, Ruth (Bunnie) Evans, Mary Jeffers and four brothers Charles Gross, Esau (Claudette), Nathan (Cortina), Floyd Evans, in-laws, Mary Davis and Frances Smith, Robert(Joyce) and Lawrence (Judy) Roane.
Funeral services 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 6, 2014 at Mother U.A.M.E. 701 East 5th Street, Wilmington, DE; viewing 5:00 p.m. to – 6:45 p.m. only. Burial 10am Tuesday October 7, 2014, Delaware Veterans Cemetery.
