Andrew J. Mitchell 49, of Bolivar, died Wednesday September 17, 2014 at 12:20 AM in the Cleveland Clinic of complications from an infection. Born March 24, 1965 in Pontiac, Michigan he was a son of James A. and Nancy (Walker) Mitchell of Germantown, Tenn. He was employed as a Senior Forester with American Electric Power since 1990. He was a volunteer Firefighter/EMT with Bolivar Fire Dept. since 2002. Andrew was also a Certified Arborist and enjoyed cycling. He is survived by his wife the former Shannon Wilson whom he married June 2, 1990. Also surviving are his two sons Jonathan Mitchell and Zachary Mitchell both of Bolivar; 2 brothers Brian (Elaine Varvatos) Mitchell of Chicago, Patrick (MaryAnn) Mitchell of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan and 3 nephews and a niece.
Memorial services will be held Saturday September 20, 2014 at 4:00 PM in the Lebold-Smith Funeral Home at 248 Park Ave. Bolivar with Pastor Fred Reikowsky officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home where the Bolivar Fire Dept. will conduct Last Alarm services at 1:45 PM. The Bolivar Fire Dept. will also host a meal and time of fellowship follow services. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
