Gloria L.(Thomas) Hartung 88 of Shadyside Ohio died Tuesday, September 16th at Belmont Community Hospital.
She was born February 21, 1926 a daughter of the late Edward Good and Verda (Tharp) Jeffers.
Gloria was a registered nurse at Bellaire Hospital where she worked for 40 years. She loved shopping and taking care of the family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Hartung as well as one sister Rosemarie Thompson and one brother Edward Good.
Surviving are her son Edward (Mary) Thomas of Belmont, Ohio and her daughter Gloria Van Dyne of Powhatan Point, Ohio; three sisters Lois LaRoche of Bellaire, Ohio, Priscilla Pintarich of Neffs, Ohio and Verda Pintarich of Bridgeport, Ohio. Also survived by four grandchildren Ian Thomas, Heather (Bradley) Wells, Edward Thomas (JR) and Lori Van Dyne, as well as three great grandchildren Sebastian Wells, Kayla Van Dyne and Zachary Kemp as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday September 18, 2014 from 2-8 pm and Friday September 19, from 10 am until time of funeral service at 11am at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory 441, 37th street Bellaire, Ohio 43906 with Lorna Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Shadyside Fire Department or the Marshall County Humane Society.
