Sarah Helen (Cook) Smith, age 74 of Prudenville passed away on Tuesday September 16, 2014 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Sarah was born June 4, 1940 in Bogart, Georgia to George D. & Nannie M. (Herbert) Cook. Sarah moved to Prudenville in 1984 from Cedar Springs. She worked as a greeter at Walmart in Houghton Lake for 10 years. She enjoyed photography and writing and became a published poet.
Sarah is survived by daughter; Sandra Jackson of Athens, Georgia, daughter; Rita (Stephen) Brannon of Danielsville, Georgia, son; Byron (Katrina) Smith of Prudenville, ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, brother; Bobby (Levie) Cook of Bogart, Georgia, half-brother; Billy Cook of Bogart, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday September 19, 2014 from 1 pm until the time of the service at Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel. The funeral service will take place at 4 pm with Rev.
