Patricia Lou Johnson, age 83, of Prudenville passed away on Thursday September 11, 2014 at her home with her family by her side.

Patricia was born December 30, 1930 in Twinning, Michigan to Clarence V. & Nellie (Sheldon) Brown. She married Arthur Johnson on July 27, 1957 in Indiana. The couple moved to Prudenville from St. Charles in 1976 where they opened an AFC Home on Iroquois Ave. in Prudenville for 15 years. Patricia was diagnosed with cancer in 2008, she was known as a brave, courageous and strong willed lady. She was an amazing house keeper, cook, especially when it came to bake goods, she always expressed her thoughts. The family would like to thank Hospice for everything that did; "God bless them". They would also like to thank Aunt Sona for all she has done to help them.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Arthur Johnson of Prudenville, son; Edward Whelton of Metamora, son; Rod (Julieta) Whelton of Hemlock, son; Patrick Johnson of Prudenville, daughter; Deb (Dan) Dankert of Prudenville, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, brother; Roger (Sandy) Brown of Swartz Creek, sister; Sona (John) O'Farrell of Whittamore, sister; Betty Kocur of St. Charles, sister; Brenda (Mike) Toth of St. Marys, Georgia. Patricia had four little angels Zieck, Patches, Lizzie and Casey who were always on her bedside next to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, brother Everett Brown, daughter-in-law Sue Whelton, brother-in-law Charlie Kocur.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday October 4, 2014 at the Denton Township Hall at 1 PM. Burial will be in Denton Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. You may express your condolences to the family at www.christler-holdship.com
