Gene - passed away at the age of 78, at Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis and his six children, seven grandchildren, three great- grandchildren, one sister, and a nephew.
Gene was self-employed as an architect for many years. He had many interests that included playing guitar, flying remote controlled airplanes, playing cards, and many games he enjoyed playing with his family. He also loved to paint and enjoyed making pottery. Gene loved to take his family on vacations and enjoyed having a helping hand in raising a couple of his grandchildren. He always wanted to move to an island and when he was fully retired, that dream became a reality.
A mass service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, August 28th, 2014 at Saint John the Apostle Catholic Church on Sandbridge Road, Virginia Beach, followed by a reception.
