Antonio S. Marcilla 80, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at home in Bloomfield after a long illness.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he lived in Bloomfield for the last 8 years.
Before working as a longshoreman, he had a career as a boxer and participated in the 1956 Olympics representing the country of Argentina. He worked as a longshoreman (N.Y. Shipping Association).
He was the husband of Maria Marcilla for 33 years, father of Robert, Reuben, Oscar, Rick and Antonio Jr. He was also survived by 10 grandchildren.
