Eapen (Mohan) Jacob, 59, died on Sunday, August 3rd at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, CT. Born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, he was the son of Jacob Rajan and Mary Jacob. Eapen Jacob lived his life with a full heart that touched every soul he met. His love of life and the people around him allowed Eapen to be a source of wisdom and clarity for all who knew him. Regardless of the challenges he faced, he would find a way to fight, and fight he did until his last breath. We could only hope to love Eapen as much as he loved every person he met and he will forever live on in all of our hearts.
Besides his parents, Eapen is survived by his two children, his son, Paul Jacob and his daughter, Sara Jacob and one sister, Elizabeth Thomas.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 9th at 4:00 pm at the Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown. After services, Eapen will be returned home to his parents in India so that he may be laid to rest.
Family and friends may call on Saturday before the service from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eapen's memory to the American Diabetes Association, 2080 Silas Deane Highway, 2nd Floor, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
