Ella Mae Miller

Ella Mae Miller, age 85 of Middletown, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Miami Valley Hospital. She was born January 20, 1929 in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Howard A. Hoover and Emma (Kiehl) Hoover. She moved to Middletown 79 years ago and graduated from Middletown High School where she enjoyed being a drum major and participating in drama and cheerleading. After graduation, Ella Mae worked for Moon and Adrion Insurance where she met, by accident, her husband Don. Ella Mae also worked as a Hospital Technician and retired from the Middletown Regional Hospital after many years.
Ella Mae is survived by her husband of 64 years, Donald E. Miller; a daughter, Cynthia A. (husband, Scott) Smith of Kernersville, North Carolina; two sons, Donald H. (wife, Cynthia) Miller of Franklin and Michael A. (wife, Patricia) Miller of Rockville, Maryland; four grandchildren, Mollie, Brian, Alexandra and Craig. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Howard Hoover, Jr.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday at the Breitenbach McCoy Leffler Funeral Home with Dr. Dan Flory officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon Thursday until service time.
