Beloved Wife, Daughter and Mother, 62

Mrs. MaryJo (nee Grasso) Cece, 62 of Bloomfield, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. The funeral will be conducted from the Biondi Funeral Home of Nutley, 540 Franklin Avenue on Monday, July 28 at 8:45 a.m. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church , Bloomfield at 10:00 a.m. The interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery , East Hanover. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 27 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.

MaryJo was born in Newark and resided in Bloomfield since 1961. She was a 1969 graduate of Bloomfield High School. MaryJo was employed at Traveler's Village for a number of years before taking a position at Mountainside Hospital from 1983 to 2003 as an administrative assistant in the Pediatric Clinic. She left that position and returned to work per diem as an administrative assistant at the Wound Care Center.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years, Robert Cece; her devoted daughters Shawn Capra and her husband John Capra and Jaclyn Cece and her fiancé Samuel Rivera; her loving mother Theresa (nee Grasso) Sparacino; her loving sisters Theresa Venezia and her husband Louis, Jeannine Perri and her husband Robert; and her loving brother Gerald Grasso. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

MaryJo is predeceased by her father Jerry Grasso.
