Lucille Cyrus "Lucy" Phillips died on July 22, 2014.
Born March 10, 1926, in Campbell County, VA, Lucy was the daughter of the late John Bunion Cyrus and Sallie Kate Moore Cyrus.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Ray Phillips, Columbia; a son-in-law, Michael Evatt and wife Anna, Simpsonville; a grandson, Phillip Owens and a granddaughter, Danielle Owens, both of Simpsonville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hancle Ray Phillips, and her daughter, Marcia Kaye Owens.
Lucy was the last member of the Cyrus family. She was an active member of Reedy River Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church, Simpsonville, where she taught Sunday School, was moderator of the Presbyterian Women and directed a children's choir.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014, from 6:30-8:00 PM, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast Chapel.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 510 Curtis Street, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
