Elie J. Boucher, 75, of Gardner, died peacefully Saturday July 5, 2014 in UMass Memorial medical Center, Worcester, surrounded by his loving family.
Elie was born in Fitchburg, August 18, 1938, son of the late Joseph E. and Doris (Therien) Boucher, and lived in Gardner for many years.
Elie is a graduate of Fitchburg High School. He worked as an electrician for Pioneer, General Electric, and Batesville. Elie proudly served his country with the United States Navy. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband and father. He dedicated his life to raising his family and taking care of his wife.
Elie will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Janet (Holden) Boucher, two sons; Keith Boucher and his wife Debra of Petersham, and John Boucher and his wife Cindy of Ashburnham, two daughters; Tina Lord and her partner Mark Bosselait of Leverett, MA, and Kimberly Warren and her husband Jamison of Gardner, one brother; Eugene Boucher of Leominster, one sister; Elizabeth Dame of Templeton, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Elie was predeceased by his son Elie Boucher, Jr., in 2011, and a sister Lorretta Boucher(baby).
Relatives and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Elie's life by gathering for his funeral Mass in Holy Spirit Church, Lovewell St, South Gardner, on Friday July 11, 2014 beginning at 9:00AM. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Glenallen St., Winchendon at 1PM There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers; the family kindly asks donations be made to the National MS Society, Greater New England Chapter, PO Box 845945, Boston, MA 02284.
