NAU, John J. "Jack" 91, of Wheeling, WV, died Friday, April 18, 2014.

He was born September 3, 1922 in Wheeling, a son of the late John J. and Mary Mihalek Nau.

Jack was a retired 31 year employee of Blaw-Knox Rolls, a member of St. Joseph Cathedral, avid Notre Dame fan, a former member of the Elm Grove Eagles, a Navy veteran of WWII.

"Pap Jack" never missed a dance recital or piano recital and could always be found cheering in the stands during a basketball, softball or football game

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his live, wife, Coralie M. (Frazier) Nau in 1999, one sister, Mary Ellen Groux.

Surviving are his two daughters, Karen S. Schnupp and Janet L. Gruber both of Wheeling; one brother, Jim Nau of Fla; a sister, Nancy Carl of Wheeling; five grandchildren, Miranda (Michael) Kana, Tiffany (Adam) Holcomb, Alex Gruber, Luke Schnupp and Jennifer Gruber, two half-sisters, Carolyn Wiethe and Barbara Leonard both of Wheeling.

Friends received 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
