Morlan L. "Shorty" Sanor
Age 91, of East Canton died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in his home. Born October 21, 1922 in Hanoverton, Ohio to the late Spencer and Mable (Arter) Sanor. He was an East Canton resident most of his life and retired owner/operator of M.L. Sanor Trucking. He attended Indian Run Christian Church. Shorty was a member of the Canton Masonic Lodge #60 F.& A.M., Valley of Canton, Scottish Rite, Akron Tadmor Shriners, Delta Chapter #539 Order of the Easter Star, Osnaburg Township AARP and former member of several local square dance clubs. Preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline Sanor; five sisters, Stella Wecht, Mary Elizabeth Raines, Florine Sanor, Louann Peterson and Anna Lou Sanor; four brothers, William, Harold, Don and Sam. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Wanda J. (Stille) Sanor; one daughter, Barbara Kelly; three step-children, Walter (Sara) Landis, Donna (Paul) Reiger, Dottie Case; seven grandchildren, Shawn (Kris) Kelly, Sandra (Jason) Sheller, Jan (Ted) Wickline, Paul (Crystal) Reiger, Joe (Melissa) Reiger, Laura Landis, Andrew Landis; 15 great grandchildren; one sister, Arla Jean Escott; one brother, James Sanor. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 10:00 am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Terry Bailey officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Indian Run Christian Church.
