Donald L. Hoffman, 81 of Galion passed away Sunday afternoon, March 23, 2014 at his residence.
Born May 15, 1932 in Crestline, he was the son of the late Albert S. and Marie (Hasenzahl) Hoffman.
Don was employed as a welder for Gledhill Road Machinery in Galion. He was a member of the Galion Owls Club and enjoyed hunting mushrooms, traveling, playing cards and loved animals.
He is survived by children, Ron and Barb Hoffman of Galion, Don Hoffman, Jr. of Galion, Cathy (Mike) Lester of Galion, step-daughter, Buffy Hoffman Pry of Florida, grandchildren, Nicole (Jimmy) McCoy, Michele (Travis) Tolar, Brooke Hoffman, Crystal Hoffman, Cory Smith and Toby Smith, great grandchildren, Evan and Emma McCoy, Gavin and Gabriel Tolar and Ciara and Kelsey Smith, brothers, Bill (Avis) Hoffman of Mansfield and James Hoffman and sisters, Esther Russell of Galion, Margaret Dolce of California and Donna Weymer of Ashland.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel in Galion where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 27, with Rev. Alan Akers officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
