Funeral services for John William "Billy" Moore Sr. of Thomasville, Ga. will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday July 10, 2013 in the Allen & Allen Chapel with Rev. Johnny Cooper and Rev. David Cook officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Moore died on Sunday July 7, 2013 at his residence. Born on February 5, 1935 in Georgetown, GA, he was the son of the late Tommy W. and Betty Spear Moore. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was retired from Sunnyland Foods as a Truck Driver. Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of 53 years Helen Turner Moore. Other survivors include his daughter Karen Collins and husband Keith of Fayetteville, GA, son John Moore Jr. of Orlando, Fl., daughter Darla Glass and husband Kevin of Thomasville, Ga, son Tommy Moore of Thomasville, Ga., daughter Lynn Wilson of Thomasville, Ga; Grandchildren, Brandon Collins and wife Heather , William Collins and Kimbar Collins of Fayetteville, Ga, Melinda Barwick and husband Michael, and Allen Glass of Thomasville, Ga, Kate McEown and husband Steven of Raeford, NC, Ryan Wilson and Chandler Wilson of Thomasville, Ga; Great Grandchild, Ruby McEown of Raeford, NC Brothers and sisters, Jean Enfinger of Georgetown, Ga, Rebecca Anderson of Georgetown, Ga, Rosemary Bennett of Georgetown, Ga, Luellen Baker of Daleville, Al, Cathy Morris of Georgetown, Ga, Marilyn Sewell and husband Ron of Eufaula, Al, and Betty Smith and husband Ted of Fortson, Ga. Brothers that preceded him in death are Tommy Moore of Georgetown, Ga and David Moore of Ochlocknee, Ga. Mr. Moore's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday July 9, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 PM. Guest may sign the online register book at www.allenfh.com.
