Ellen Ann McGinity Thomas, age 66, died on Sunday, December 2, in Cleveland. Beloved wife of Scott Thomas; cherished mother of Elizabeth T. Guida (Richard) of Alpharetta, GA and Jennifer T. Harst (Jon) of Bloomfield Hills, MI. She was the treasured grandmother of William A. Guida, Matthew J. Guida, Jacob R. Guida, Elizabeth K. Harst, Andrew W. Harst and Cameron T. Harst.

Adored sister of F. Joseph McGinity (Maureen) of Yardley, PA, Richard C. McGinity (Susan Berman) of Dubois, WY, and John R. McGinity (Paula) of Aloha, OR. Dear aunt of Matthew F. McGinity, Claire M. Adams (Doug), Patricia L. McGinity and Katherine C. McGinity.

Ellen was born on July 6, 1946, to Catherine Wheelihan McGinity and Lt. Colonel Frank Joseph McGinity in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She spent most of her childhood years in Livingston, New Jersey. She graduated from Livingston High School and attended Mary Washington College (now the University of Mary Washington) in Fredericksburg, VA.

Ellen and Scott raised their daughters in Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio and enjoyed playing tennis, bridge and spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed vacations at the Jersey shore and Cape Cod.

She worked at the Kalamazoo Gazette (MI) as an Advertising Sales Representative and for many years at Key Bank (OH) in Human Resources and Business Loan capacities.

After she became a grandmother, Ellen spent much of her time in Georgia and Michigan with her "birds" and "babies". She loved being involved in her grandchildren's lives and provided them with innumerable wonderful memories. They adored their Nana.

Ellen will always be remembered as a loving and generous wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother and will be greatly missed. We loved her astronomously.

Funeral services will be held, Friday, December 14th at 11 AM at Brown-Forward, 17022 Chagrin Blvd., Shaker Hts., OH where FRIENDS MAY CALL ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE SERVICE.
